Message	From being low on coolant. Did you see any leaks prior to it over heating? Did it knock and clank prior to overheating? Did you ensure it had all the air burp'd from the system? I wouldn't have attempted to crank it until verifing it's not hot and at a safe temp. Don't trust your temp gauge, they only work when you have enough water in the system.
